The Chesterton boys golf team wrapped up the regular season on Wednesday with a seventh place finish in the Duneland Athletic Conference Meet at the Brassie.

Lake Central won the event with a 300 team score, while LaPorte (310), Crown Point (311), Portage (311), Valparaiso (313), Michigan City (334), Chesterton (339) and Merrillville (411) following.

Brandon Martin and Austin Johnson led the Trojans with 83’s and Evan Zondor shot 85. Zach Von Huben tallied an 88 and Jay Crots rounded out the scoring with a 91.

LaPorte’s Jordan Lenard took medalist honors with an even par 72.

Chesterton will open post-season play on Friday when they travel to Valparaiso for Sectional play at Forest Park Golf Course.
