Chesterton Boys beat River Forest 72-44

The Chesterton boys basketball team made it back-to-back weekend victories with a 72-44 win over River Forest on Saturday night.

The Trojans led 13-4 after one quarter and extended the lead to 31-12 at the half.

Austin Peterson led Chesterton with 18 points, while Ky Palombizio (15 points) and Jake Wadding (12 points) also reached double figures.

Rounding out the scoring were Jack Eaton (5 points), Sean Elliott (5 points), Josh Matthews (4 points), Kolton Cardenas (4 points), Harley Lohmeyer (2 points), Tyler Nelson (2 points), Jake Warren (2 points), Drew VanderWoude (2 points) and Noah Mahoney (1 point).

The Trojans return to the court on Thursday when they host Michigan City. The JV game is set for a 5:30 p.m. tip.
