The Chesterton girls cross country team put together a solid race, landed seven runners in the top 10 and cruised to a 19-43 victory over Portage on Tuesday at Sunset Hill Farms.

Chesterton’s Haley Cushway was the overall race winner in 19:33.51. Cushway was followed to the line in the top five by Hannah Hoffman (3rd, 19:47.10), Melanie Buckmaster (4th, 19:49.95) and Kassidy Scott (5th, 19:54.72).

Rounding out the Trojans in the top 10 were Josie Tolin (6th, 19:58.86), Leah Sink (7th, 20:01.09) and Sam Giordano (9th, 20:19.81).
