Girls Golf falls to Michigan City and LaPorte

The Chesterton girls golf team posted the two lowest scores of the Duneland Athletic Conference triangular meet on Thursday, but they weren’t low enough.

Michigan City won the meet with a 211 team score at Sand Creek on the Marsh Course. LaPorte was second (213), followed by the Trojans (240).

Elyse Stasil took medalist honors with a three-over-par 39, while Madison Simms shot 47. Rounding out the scoring were Bella Auricchio (75), Bethany House (79) and Zoe Swanson (80).

Chesterton returns to the course on Saturday when they travel to the Warsaw Invitational at Stonehenge Golf Club.
