Back To Front Page

Two north county cases will be heard by the Porter County Drainage Board at its regular meeting on Monday at 8:30 a.m.

The first is a presentation on the Enbridge Wetland Mitigation Site located on the southwest corner of Porter-LaPorte County Line Road and I-94 in Pine Township. The parcel of 71 acres is owned by Indiana Department of Transportation and is being used for wetland mitigation because of impacts to Reynolds Creek due to Enbridge pipeline construction.

Presenting will be John Richardson of Cardno-JF New.

The second case is for a variance of Pope O’Connor Ditch Assessment requested by Patricia Shumate of 64 E. CR 1100N. to reduce the legal drain easement affecting her parcel to the minimum of 25 feet from the top of the bank along the east side of Pope-Connor Ditch and South of CR 1100N.

The board will also allow for public comment and will hear reports from board members.

The board will meet in Room 205 of the County Adminstration Center, 155 Indiana Ave. in Valparaiso.
