Champions times three: The Cole sisters, of Jackson Township, earned
three championship rankings in the 4-H rabbit project events over the
weekend. At left, Emily Cole, 12, won Best of Breed for the third year in a
row with her Silver Marten rabbit Garnet. Garnet is the son of one her
previous champions. Garnet also was champion in the rabbit races. Audrey,
10, (center) won Reserve Grand Champion doe and litter with her Mini-Rex
Cinnamon and babies while her twin sister Autumn, at right, won Reserve
Grand Champion Beginning Rabbit Judging. Autumn also earned Grand Champion
with her Beginning Level Crochet project. The girls are members of the
Jackson Volunteers. The Porter County Fair continues through Saturday, July
26.

Rabbit on Display: Johnny Lowery shows his Dutch rabbit named Sweet Tart
on Sunday afternoon. Johnny placed 1st in the Dutch breed class. His parents

Taking A Stroll: Niki Jones of Jackson Township takes a stroll near the

3rd year with 4-H and is showing her 3 year old quarter horse gelding “Kie”
