Photos: More 4-H winners from 2004 Porter County Fair

Top Row Left to Right:

Grand Champion: Caryn Glasgow is pictured with the memory board, storage bin and trash can, all decorated in purple that earned a Grand Champion ribbon in the Home Environment project at the Porter County 4-H Fair. Glasgow, an eighth grade student is in her fifth year in the Lakeshore Drifters 4-H Club.

Lakeshore Drifters headed for State Fair: Pictured left to right are Michael Albano, whose weather project earned a Reserve Grand Champion ribbon, and Kyle Jimenez who earned Best of Show for his first year entry in black and white photography. Both projects were selected for State Fair. Porter County Fair continues through Saturday, July 31.

Lakeshore Drifters champion bakers: Pictued left to right are Katie Wallace and Nick Albano of the Lakeshore Drifters 4-H Club. Wallace’s cookie called “Just the Best Cookie” earned a champion ribbon and will go to the State Fair. Albano’s Cinnamon Swirl Coffee Cake earned a Reserve Champion ribbon.

Champions: Lakeshore Drifters 4-H Club members Elizabeth Zeese (left) and Katie Tymorek are pictured with their projects in the 4-H Exhibit Hall at the Porter County Fair. Zeese earned a Champion ribbon for Nature Discovery and Tymorek took Reserve Champion for her Shooting Sport project. Both girls have been in 4-H for three years.

Lakeshore Drifters Reserve Grand Champions: Pictured left to right at the 4-H Exhibit Hall at the Porter County Fair are Eva Thomas, Reserve Grand Champion for Home Improvement, Anthony Zeese, Reserve Grand Champion for Fine Arts and Abigail Lindstedt, Reserve Grand Champion for Scrapbooking. Thomas’ project will be going to State Fair.

Rabbit is Best of Breed: Megan Tymorek (right) shows her six-month old rabbit to fellow Lakeshore Drifter Club family. Pictured in his buggy is one-year-old Scott Wilmsen. Back, left to right, Andrew Tymorek, 7 and Emily Wilmsen, 5. This was Megan’s first year in the rabbit project. The bunny is a Netherland Dwarf.

Cockatiels are Champions: Stephanie Jackson is pictured with her cockatiels, both of which are champs. Fred is Reserve Grand Champion and Wilma is Grand Champion. Stephanie is a second year member of Lakeshore Drifters 4-H Club.

Grand Champion going to State Fair: Lora McMeans is pictured with her egg, entered in the basic crafts division. The project received a grand champion ribbon and will be entered at the Indiana State Fair. McMeans, a member of Lakeshore Drifters, is in her third year of 4-H.
