Ducks and horses at Porter County Fair

Click on Photos for Larger Image: Left to Right: Duck Duo: Amanda Tofte-Patrick, age 11, and brother Adam, age 7, both of Jackson Township are shown with two of their ducks who will be shown in the livestock buildings starting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Amanda is also showing swine and won grand champion in flower design and painting. Adam is a first year 4-H Explorer and a big help to his sister. The annual 4-H celebration auction will be held on Thursday evening starting at 6 p.m.

The Big Day: Morgan Choucalas of Jackson Township is in her first year with 4-H. Tuesday Morgan and her horse named Jericho took part in the category Hunt Seat Pleasure which is part of the English Competition. The horse arena at the Porter County Fair is a popular spot for spectators. The Fair continues through Saturday evening with a 7 p.m. Old-Fashioned Draft Horse pull in the show arena.

Horse and Pony English Day: Krystal Reilly of Liberty Hot Shots is shown riding the grounds on her horse Abra Cadabra on Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday will feature Horse and Pony Western day. Thursday and Friday will also feature different events in the Horse Arena starting around 10 a.m. Krystal is a senior at CHS and is in her 4th year in 4-H.
