Lamas Have Arrived: The Porter County Fair is open now and will continue through July 28. Lama’s are preparing to show tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the livestock arena and Saturday from 9 a.m-11a.m and again at 6:30 p.m. The Boatright family of Jackson Township are lined up showing off their 3 lama’s. Pictured left to right are Merissa Boatright, age 9 with her lama Mocha, Matthew, age 11 with his lama Buckeye Joe, and Morgan, age 11 with her lama Java Wave.

Porter County Fair Underway: The Porter County Fair opened on Thursday afternoon and will continue through July 28. Opening 4-H projects where judged dog shows were held in the show arena. Shown during the final senior showmanship class is Chelsea Gustafson and her dog Libby, of the Duneland area. The fair will be in full force over the weekend with many 4-H exhibits on display as well as animal projects and competitions being judged.

Senior Showmanship: Elise Gustafson, of Chesterton, is shown taking a final lap in the show ring with her dog Mia during the Senior Showmanship category at the Porter County Fair. The 4-H dog judging was held in the show arena during the opening day of the fair. Llama’s also checked in Thursday evening in preparation for Friday and Saturday shows.
