The Fairhaven Baptist Church in Chesterton will be hosting a special “I Love America” service on Sunday, Oct. 7 at 10:30 a.m.

Service attendees will have the opportunity to meet elected officials, candidates running for office, and public servants representing police and fire departments. Special patriotic music will be performed by Fairhaven’s orchestra and choir.

Dr. John Stomer, author of None Dare Call It Treason, will be the guest speaker and every part of the service will celebrate our nation’s freedoms.

Richard Mourdock, candidate for United States Senate and Karen Freeman-Wilson, mayor of Gary, will be in attendance and speaking for a few moments.

There will be a special “meet-and-greet” in the gymnasium after the service. This will be an opportunity for citizens to mingle with local politicians and candidates for the November elections. Refreshments will be served.

Come and celebrate the principles on which America was built and show thankfulness to God for His blessings on this great land.

Fairhaven Baptist Church is located at 86 East Oak Hill Road.
