State Rep. Chuck Moseley, D-Portage, has filed for re-election to Indiana
House District 10.
In his candidate announcement statement, Moseley said that with nearly
300,000 Hoosiers out of work, the Indiana Legislature needs to focus on ways
to get Indiana back on track. “We can do this by directing more resources to
help small business, ensuring that companies receiving tax incentives create
the jobs they promised, and by making certain that tax dollars and stimulus
funds are being used in the best manner when it comes to getting Northwest
Indiana Hoosiers back to work,” his statement says.
Moseley was first elected to the Indiana General Assembly in 2008. He serves
on the Public Health Committee and the Veterans Affairs & Public Safety
Committee, and is the Vice-Chair of the Labor & Employment Committee. A
veteran of the Army National Guard, he is a past president of the Portage
Chamber of Commerce and of the Portage Township School Board.
“This session, I have been proud of the work I have done on funding for
adult education,” Moseley said. “With so many Hoosiers out of work, we need
to continue to provide them the tools they will need to get them back to
school to further their education. When we do this, we will all come out on
top.”
Moseley, whose 10th district includes the Duneland community, said
constituents can contact him by calling his legislative assistant Anne
Hancock at 1-800-382-9842 or by emailing h10@in.gov. “The best way for me to
serve you is for me to hear from you,” Moseley said.
