Local Second Amendment supporters in Indiana will join forces for a national
letter-signing campaign—dubbed “Operation Sheriff Reach”— to be held in
every county/parish/borough across the country from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on
Wednesday, March 13.
Citizens will meet here at Valparaiso Square.
Eric Reed, the national event coordinator, plans for this event to be a
peaceful collaboration to encourage the local county sheriff to uphold the
U.S. Constitution and not enforce any executive orders or unconstitutional
laws.
“We are asking citizens to sign a letter to encourage their local Sheriff to
uphold the U.S. Constitution and not enforce any unconstitutional gun bans
the federal government may enact,” Reed said.
Letters will be available for attendees to sign, which will be given to the
local sheriff.
“This event is quickly gaining traction on social media outlets such as
Facebook.com, where thousands of individuals nationwide have signed up to
attend through the ‘Gun Rights Across America’ main event page,” a statement
released last month said. “Individual states, including Indiana, have pages
set up to facilitate coordination of local efforts.”
Gun Rights Across America is not associated with any candidate, candidate
committee, or PAC. Its goal is to educate citizens about their Second
Amendment rights; legislation and regulations on a local, state, and federal
level; and to educate law makers about firearms and gun owners.
