Democrats won handily in two countywide elections on Tuesday, as they won
pretty much everywhere in the county.
Incumbent Porter County Surveyor Kevin Breitzke easily beat off Republican
Rich Hudson’s challenge, taking 37,752 votes or 55.49 percent to Hudson’s
30,278 votes or 44.51 percent.
Breitzke was elected to his fifth term.
Meanwhile, Porter Superior Court Judge Bill Alexa won a crushing re-election
against Republican challenger Anthony Pampalone, taking 41,966 votes or
60.52 percent to Pampalone’s 27,380 or 39.48 percent.
