A motorcyclist and his passenger died on Sunday in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Ind. 130 and Froberg Road in Center Township, Porter County Coroner Chuck Harris is reporting.

Harris identified the victims as motorcyclist Nicholas Branham, 36, of Valparaiso; and his passenger, Jaclyn Nauracy, 26, of Schererville.

According to Harris, shortly before 4 p.m. Branham was eastbound on Ind. 130 when he laid his Harley-Davidson Road Glide down to avoid colliding with a Cadillac Escalade whose driver was southbound on Froberg Road and proceeding into the intersection.

Nauracy suffered blunt force injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, Harris said. Branham was transported to Porter Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:33 p.m.

The driver of the Escalade--whose name Harris didnít release--escaped injuries.

The results of a routine toxicology screen on Branham are pending, Harris added.
