YORKTOWN, Ind.
(AP) — An eastern Indiana school district has made counselors and other
staff available to its students after one student died and three others
were injured in a traffic crash that also killed two adults.
Yorktown
Community Schools Superintendent Jennifer McCormick tells the Star Press
of Muncie that all four of the youths in the Sunday crash were Yorktown
Middle School students.
The Delaware
County Coroner's Office says the crash killed 46-year-old driver Lisa Case
of Anderson, 46-year-old Kent Kalley of Yorktown and 12-year-old Andrew
Lackey.
IU Health
spokeswoman Lori Ewoldt says 13-year-old Savanna Kalley was in critical
condition Monday at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis and two other
13-year-olds, Trace Joiner and Jessica DeLong, were in good condition at
Riley Children's Hospital.
Sheriff's
deputies say Case lost control of the vehicle.
