SOUTH BEND, Ind.
(AP) - A winter storm bearing down on parts of the Midwest is expected to
dump up to a foot of snow on parts of northern Indiana before it leaves the
state Friday night.
The National
Weather Service says snow starting Thursday evening is expected to continue
most of Friday, totaling 8 to 14 inches by day’s
end. Forecasters say travel will be “very difficult to impossible” during
the Friday morning and afternoon commutes.
Officials are
urging caution during the storm. They say if people can avoid traveling
during the heavy snow they should do so.
