State Police: Man seriously injured in I-65 crash

A Chicago man was seriously injured Thursday in a one-vehicle accident on I-65 in Jasper County, the Indiana State Police said.

According to police, at 9:50 p.m. Patrick Regan, 58, was northbound on I-65, near Fair Oaks, when he failed to negotiate the lane shift in a construction zone and hit a concrete barrier wall head on. Reganís 2000 Dodge Caravan then spun clockwise, coming to rest in the center median, police said.

Regan was airlifted to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Ill.
