One person was injured but no one was cited Wednesday in a three vehicle collision at the Travel Centers of America gas station at 1441 West U.S. 20, Porter Police said.

According to police, at 11:33 a.m. officers responded at the scene where a semi truck driver from Michigan City was slumped over his steering wheel due to illness and was later transported to St. Anthony’s Medical Hospital for cardiac concerns after complaining of left shoulder pain.

Police said the driver was pulling into the lot driving east and struck two parked vehicles and one of the diesel fuel pumps. The semi and the second vehicle had “extensive damage” from the collision while the third vehicle had front end damage.

No other injuries were reported, police said.

Police estimated the total damage of semi trailer and the two vehicles at more than $100,000 while the damage to the fuel island pump and system was estimated at up to $40,000.
