Porter County Sheriff Police seeks help in finding stolen semi trailer

The Porter County Sheriff’s Police is seeking the public help’s in locating a semi-trailer stolen in the early-morning hours of Monday, Feb. 13, from the lot at 730 W. U.S. Highway 30 in Union Township.

According to police, at 3 a.m. the driver of a semi-tractor drove into the lot and removed the trailer, described as a white 2003 Great Dane with Oklahoma trailer plate number 6572JW.

The suspect’s semi-tractor was dark colored with a diagonal stripe from the door to the sleeper.

Police did say that the suspect drove the tractor into the lot twice that morning before he or she actually stole the trailer, possibly to test the lot’s security system.
