PCSP: Vehicle breakins reported in Liberty Township

The Porter County Sheriff’s Police are investigating a string of robberies Thursday from several vehicles parked in roadways and on streets on Canterbury Circle and Sharon Boulevard in Forest Oaks in Liberty Township.

According to police, a resident in the 0-100 Block of Canterbury Circle advised he parked his vehicle in his driveway at approximately 7 p.m. on Wednesday and he found his vehicle rummaged through Thursday morning. He advised his prescription bottle containing 150 pills of Hydrocodone / Acetaminophin was missing.

Police estimated the loss at $325.

A resident in the 100 Block of Canterbury Circle advised that sometime overnight Wednesday into Thursday an unknown subject entered his unlocked truck and removed two softball backpacks from inside the cab which contained other softball related items, police said.

Police estimated the loss at $750.

A resident in the 100 Block of Sharon Boulevard advised that between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Thursday, an unknown person entered her unlocked vehicle parked in her driveway and took her dash cam and four phone chargers, police said.

Police estimated the loss at $80.

A resident in the 100 Block of Sharon Boulevard advised that between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Thursday, an unknown person entered her unlocked vehicle parked on the street and took her purse, currency, credit card, phone chargers, black auxiliary cord and a silver-colored pocket knife, police said.

Police estimated the loss at $285.
