The Porter County Sheriff’s Police is investigating the theft of a trailer from property in the 1000 block of Ind. 149 in Liberty Township.

According to police, sometime between July 22 and Friday someone removed the enclosed trailer, described as a 24-foot Haulmark Thrifty Hauler, white in color with a large rear door for loading a car and two side doors. The trailer was plated in Tennessee and a witness described a suspect vehicle as a white Chevrolet truck, police said.

Police estimated the loss at $8,000.
