The Porter County Sheriff’s Police has identified the victim of the stabbing on Monday, Oct. 22, in a residence on Kinsale Ave. in the Waterford subdivision in Center Township.

Bishop M. Polizzotto, 18, of Union Township, was transported after the incident to Methodist Hospital Northlake Campus in Gary with “serious” injuries.

The PCSP has not released the name of the other party, a 17-year-old Center Township boy, “pending any potential charges.”

“All information has been obtained and will be forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for review,” the PCSP.

The incident was initially treated as a home invasion and at the time the PCSP said that nothing was reported missing from the home on Kinsale Ave.

The PCSP emphasized that the Oct. 22 stabbing “was an isolated incident between two subjects” and is in no way connected with a stabbing early Monday morning in Jackson Township.
