The Ogden Dunes
Police Department has issued a missing/endangered alert for a resident of
the town.
The ODPD, working
with the NICTD Transit Police and Metra Police, has determined that Hattie
Ivey Jackson, 67, walked to the Ogden Dunes South Shore station, where at
4:54 p.m. Monday she boarded a westbound train. Video surveillance cameras
subsequently caught Jackson exiting the South Shore train at Millennium
Station in Chicago at 6:18 p.m.
There have been no
further sighting of Jackson or contact with her, the ODPD said.
Jackson was
reported missing at 8 p.m. Monday by her son in Ogden Dunes.
Jackson was
described as being 5’ 1’’ in height and 105 pounds in weight, with
medium-length black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a purple
jogging suit, a white brace on her right arm and a sling, and light gray
Nike shoes with a light blue swish on the sides. She was carrying a brown
patent leather purse.
The ODPD said that
Jackson suffers from dementia and Parkinson’s and traveled without her
medications. Anyone with information on Jackson or her whereabouts is asked
to call 911 or the ODPD at (219) 762-4125.
