The Michigan City
man pulled from Lake Michigan off Washington Park Beach on Saturday has
died, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources is reporting.
25, passed at 11:59 p.m. Sunday at Franciscan Health Michigan City, DNR
Rosete was swimming
in Lake Michigan with family members when he was overcome by waves and
failed to resurface. He was subsequently pulled from the water by Michigan
City firefighters and good Samaritans.
“It was ‘red-flag’
conditions at the time of the incident, meaning no swimming was allowed in
the area due to dangerous water conditions,” DNR said.
Conservation Officers are conducting an investigation of the incident.
