Michigan City man gets 10 years for heroin

A Michigan City man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for distributing heroin, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Indiana said.

Daniel Mallet, 32, of Michigan City, Indiana, was sentenced to 120 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.

According to documents in this case, on May 5, 2016, Mallet distributed heroin to an individual who was working with law enforcement, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
