The Porter County Sheriff’s Police is seeking the public’s help in identifying the man who robbed the South Haven Family Express at gunpoint on Saturday.

According to police, at 11:30 p.m. a male subject entered the Family Express, located at 363 W. U.S. Highway 6, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash. The suspect then fled, apparently on foot, with an undisclosed amount of money and several cartons of cigarettes.

The suspect was described as a white male, 5’ 5’’ to 5’ 6’’ in height with a medium to large build, with “unnatural reddish or maroon curly hair”--but not a wig--wearing a black hat, sunglasses, a grey winter vest, and red and black trousers.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the robbery is urged to the PCSP Detective Bureau at (219) 477-3131.
