The Porter County Sheriff’s Police is seeking the public’s help as it investigates an incident on Thursday which left an unidentified man critically injured in Liberty Township.

According to the Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department, at 2:30 p.m. firefighters were dispatched to the area of Eagle Ridge Drive and Falcon Way after bystanders reported finding an unresponsive “male subject on the ground.”

The personÑwho is believed to have been skateboardingÑsustained “traumatic life-threatening injuries,” the LTVFD said. A medivac helicopter was initially requested but weather conditions made it impossible for choppers to fly, and the man was transported instead to a local hospital.

“At this time is unknown what happened and remains under investigation by the Porter County Sheriff’s Department,” the LTVFD said.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Det. Sgt. Boone at 477-3131.
