A motorist escaped
serious injury on Sunday after flipping her vehicle on I-80/94 in Lake
County, the Indiana State Police said.
According to
police, at 8:35 p.m. Betty Markovich, 87, of Munster, was westbound on
I-80/94 when, at the Kennedy Ave. exit, her 2010 Cadillac Escalade left the
roadway for unknown reasons, struck a crash attenuator in the gore area--the
zone separating the main line from the ramp--and overturned onto its roof.
Markovich was
transported to Munster Community Hospital with non-life threatening
injuries, police said.
