An 11-year-old was seriously injured on Sunday when the vehicle she was riding in rolled over on I-65 in Jasper County, the Indiana State Police said.

According to police, at 7:50 p.m. Teshawana Crisler, 40, of Indianapolis, was southbound on I-65 when a tire failure caused her to over-correct and her 2003 GMC Yukon left the roadway, hit the center cable barrier, and rolled over.

Crislerís passenger, an 11-year-old--who was not wearing a seatbelt--was ejected, police said. The child was subsequently airlifted from the scene to Saint Vincentís Hospital in Indianapolis with non-life threatening injuries, police said, while Crisler was airlifted to Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Ill., also with non-life threatening injuries. Two other children riding in the vehicle were checked out at Franciscan Health in Rensselaer, police said.
