A trucker was cited
early this morning after he crashed his rig in a construction zone on
I-80/94 in Lake County, the Indiana State Police said.

I-80/94 when, 1,500 feet east of Cline Ave. in Gary, he failed to negotiate
a lane shift while reaching for a water bottle. Police said that Wealing’s
rig struck a concrete barrier wall and came to rest in the right lane.
The crash ripped
open the side of Wealing’s trailer and his load of 45,000 pounds of steel
