Two persons were injured on Saturday in a single-vehicle accident on I-65 in Lake County, the Indiana State Police said.

According to police, at 6:35 p.m. Ariel Enzian, 18, of Hammond, was traveling on I-65 when, just north of the Lowell exit, Enzian left the roadway for unknown reasons and Enzian’s 2001 Lexus overturned, coming to rest in the center median.

“The crash threw a debris field across all lanes of I-65, northbound and southbound, prompting all lanes to be closed temporarily for cleanup,” police said.

Enzian and passenger, Dylan Boots, 18, of Morocco, Ind., were transported to Franciscan Health Crown Point for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said.
