Two motorists were
injured Thursday in a multi-vehicle accident which gridlocked I-80/94 in
Lake County, the Indiana State Police said.

her tractor, causing her to veer left and collide with two passenger
vehicles, a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu and a 2010 Ford Escape.

in the westbound lanes, police said.
The semi came to
rest against the median wall, partially blocking the left lane, while the
Malibu and Escape came to rest blocking the center and right lanes, police

was transported to Munster Community Hospital and the Escape’s to Methodist
Hospital Northlake Campus in Gary, police said, neither of them with
life-threatening injuries. The remaining drivers refused medical treatment
at the scene.
Lanes of I-80/94
remained closed for approximately two hours, police said.
