An Illinois man and his passenger were both arrested after state troopers arrived to conduct a crash investigation on Saturday in a southbound lane on Indiana 65 near the 260 mile marker in Lake County, the Indiana State Police said.

According to police, at approximately 6 p.m. Trooper Corey Adam responded to the scene and saw a 2004 Dodge Stratus blocking the left lane with a missing left front tire and a bent left rear tire.

Police said the driver, Tracey Watson, 28 of Illinois, was found to be impaired. He was taken to South Lake Methodist hospital for a blood draw and was incarcerated at Lake County Jail in Crown Point for operating while intoxicated, police said.

Watsonís passenger, Donshay Ambrose, 22 of Chicago, Illinois, was found to be wanted on a warrant through Cook County, Illinois for a probation violation, police said.

Ambrose also on the way to Lake County Jail made disparaging statements to police and had to be assisted by jail personnel when she began to hit her head against the police carís window, police said.

Ambrose was arrested for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and intimidation.

Assisting at the scene were Troopers Nicole Maenza and Kim Zelnis.
