The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces
There will be several nights next week of periodic 20-30 minute closures of
I-80/94, between I-65 and Ind. 53 (Broadway), as crews set beams for the new
Martin Luther King Drive Bridge, the Indiana Department of Transportation
said.
The closures are necessary to ensure driver safety as the massive beams are
set.
The 20-30 minute closures for all eastbound lanes of I-80/94 will take place
overnight Monday, June 25, and Tuesday, June 26, between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Closures for all westbound lanes will take place overnight Wednesday, June
27, and Thursday, June 28, between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.
In addition, the northbound I-65 off ramp onto I-80/94 westbound will be
closed during overnight work hours on Wednesday and Thursday. A detour will
take northbound traffic on I-65 to I-80/94 eastbound, to Ind. 51 (Ripley
Street), and back to I-80/94 westbound.
INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving
through a construction zone.
