Heroin may have been involved in the deaths of two Valparaiso residents
found deceased in an apartment on Sunday, Porter County Coroner Chuck Harris
said.
Harris identified the victims as Abdullah Alqirnas, 20, a Saudi Arabian
national, and Rachael Hill, 18.
Alqirnas and Hill were found dead around 12 p.m. in Hill’s apartment in the
2100 block of Beech Street, Harris told the Chesterton Tribune today.
The results of toxicology tests are pending but Harris said that
paraphernalia commonly associated with the use of heroin was recovered at
the scene.
Alqirnas was an international student attending Valparaiso University,
Harris said.
