A Hebron man has
been charged in connection with the beating death of two pugs stolen from a
Gary residence in February.
Charged with one
count of animal cruelty was Anthony M. Priestas, 23, who has addresses both
in Hebron and Hammond.

investigating the theft on Feb. 21 of a pair of pugs during the burglary of
a Gary home. The dogs were subsequently found beaten to death in rural
Porter Township in Porter County.
