A Porter resident was booked into the Porter County Jail on Thursday on
charges of dealing in a schedule controlled substance and dealing in a
narcotic drug, the Porter County Sheriff’s Police said.
According to police, Adam Andricks, 19, of 15 Hjelm Road, was arrested on
those charges at 9 a.m. by the PCSP.
Both charges are Class B felonies punishable by a term of six to 20 years.
An agent with the Porter County Drug Task Force told the Chesterton
Tribune today that, last year, an undercover agent purchased from
Andricks a quantity of Suboxone, a drug used to treat opiate addiction.
Later in the year, the agent said, a confidential source also purchased a
quantity of heroin from Andricks.
