SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — A man and woman from Elkhart say they were robbed when they went to South Bend to buy a vehicle they saw listed on Craigslist.

Donna Brooks and Travis Cole say two men threatened them with a gun Monday afternoon and took $2,000 and their cell phones.

Cole tells WSBT-TV that the stickup shows it’s hard to know whom to trust.

Brooks says she had her 5-year-old daughter Marissa with her when the robbery occurred.

Police say they’re looking for suspects.
