Sgt. Dave Virijevich has served with the Chesterton Police Department for 10 years.

At last week’s meeting of the Police Commission, Police Chief Dave Cincoski presented Virijevich with a handsome plaque marking his decade of serving and protecting the folks of Chesterton.

“It’s much appreciated,” Virijevich said. “Thank you very much.”

With Gratitude

In other business, the commission also took receipt of a note from Westchester Intermediate School Principal Shaun Longacre, who expressed his gratitude to the CPD officers who participated in a recent honor-roll lock-in.

The officers played basketball and dodge ball and sang karaoke.
