are seeking the hit-and-run driver who struck a 15-year-old girl who was
walking to school along 1100N on Monday.
police, at 7:30 a.m. the girl was walking westbound, with traffic, along the
north edge of 1100N, east of Green Meadow Lane, and was carrying a
rainbow-colored umbrella at the time. The girl was then grazed on her left

driving recklessly or fast, as far as the girl could remember.
The girl had a
slight complaint of pain and no permanent injuries, police said.
The girl advised
police that she opted not to walk in the grass, out of the road, because it
was wet and muddy, and that she planned to continue walking in the roadway
until she reached the sidewalk on the north side of 1100N.
