CPD: Man forces way into home on Pam Drive robs woman

Chesterton Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the man who forced his way into a home in the 1100 block of Pam Drive on Tuesday and robbed a female resident.

According to police, at 11:56 a.m. the resident had just arrived at her home when she was confronted by an unknown male subject who “implied a weapon but did not display” one. The man then “pushed her inside the residence,” took her into an adjoining room, and “demanded personal items.”

The suspect seized “several items of property, “secured” the woman, and instructed her not to move. He then fled the scene.

The suspect was described as a black male, 6’ 0’’ in height and 190 pounds in weight, with short curly hair.

“The investigation is ongoing and further information will be released as available,” the CPD said.

Anyone who has information about the suspect or the incident, or who may have witnessed anything suspicious in this neighborhood, is asked to contact the CPD at 926-1136.
