Chesterton Police are investigating a burglary of a residence in the 1600 block of West Morgan Ave.

According to police, sometime between 11 a.m. Tuesday and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday someone pried open the home’s front door, then removed two 32-inch Emerson HDTVs and an HP laptop, both brand-new Christmas gifts still in the boxes. Some drawers had also been dumped out, police said, but nothing else appeared missing.

Police estimated total damage and loss at $575.
