in the center lane of the Toll Road when he reduced his speed while
traveling over a bridge at the 12 mile marker, after observing several

Swanson and his
front-seat passenger, a female, sustained serious but non-life threatening
injuries, police said. They were transported to Methodist Hospital Northlake

The operator of the
semi, Javier A. Ayala, 51, of Cleveland, Ohio, escaped injury. The semi was
hauling corrosive acid but there was no load loss, police said.
The eastbound lanes
