are investigating the burglary last week of Jim’s Auto at 100 Brown Ave.
police, sometime between 7:10 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, and 9 a.m. Thursday,
Jan. 19, someone entered the business and removed a large assortment of
tools: a Maxipress auto scanner, a Lincoln welder, an impact wrench, a tool
and die set, a ball joint press set, and a hydraulic press set.
Police put the
total loss at $7,610.
No signs of forced
entry were found at the business, police said. The last employee to leave on
Wednesday evening, however, did advise investigators that he may have left a
door at the rear of the shop accidentally unlocked. “That door leads to a
common area of the building where any one of the other tenants could gain
access to the shop,” police said.
