Two southern Porter County residents have pleaded guilty to a federal charge of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Indiana said.

Amanda Cooper, 29, of Hebron, and Tawnee McCluskey, 22, of Kouts, have both pleaded guilty to that charge.

Cooper is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 15, McCluskey on Dec. 17, the U.S. Attorney said.

Their cases were investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, the Porter County Sheriff’s Police, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Police, the Valparaiso Police Department, the Kouts Police Department, and the Porter County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
