Two plead guilty in meth case

A Valparaiso man and a Wheatfield man have pleaded guilty to a federal charge of conspiracy to manufacture and distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Indiana said.

Richard Mote, 35, of Valparaiso, is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 10, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said in a statement released on Monday, while Christopher Krug, 32, of Wheatfield, is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 9.

The case was investigated by the Porter County Sheriff’s Police, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Police, the Valparaiso and Kouts police departments, and the Porter County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
