The power of the wind: Just
before Wednesday’s tornado blew across the Town of Chesterton’s extreme
northeast border, it took a moment to impale the home of Rod and Kathi
Corder, in the 1400 hundred block of 100E, with a tree branch on north side
of the home and a 2x4 on the south side. The Corders’ property sustained
significant damage in the tornado, to the house itself, a cinder block
garage, and their heavily wooded lot.
