Five persons have been indicted in federal court on charges of conspiracy to
manufacture and distribute methamphetamine, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for
the Northern District of Indiana said.
Indicted were Brandon Christopher Lee, 33, and Kristy Saffa, 24, both of
Hobart; Krystal Lee, 32, of Clinton, Ind.; Shane Howard, 28, of Rensselaer;
and Jason Burkhart, 34, of Fulton County, Mo., the U.S. Attorney’s Office
said.
Lee was also charged with possession with the intent to distribute
methamphetamine, possession of meth producing equipment, and maintaining a
meth lab, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said; Saffa, with two counts of
possession of pseudoephedrine, possession of meth producing equipment, and
maintaining a meth lab; and Lee, Howard, and Burkhart, with possession of
pseudoephedrine.
The case was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the
Porter County Sheriff’s Police, and the Indiana State Police.
