Two Valparaiso juveniles have been waived into adult court and were being held today at the Porter County Jail on a charge of armed robbery, Valparaiso Police said.

A 17-year-girl was also being detained on a delinquency charge of armed robbery, while investigators were seeking a fourth man.

Keelon Deandre Wright, 17, of 1710 Vale Park Road, Apt. 218, and Christian Lavelle Brown, 17, of 2918 Winchester Drive, were arrested by Valparaiso Police on Saturday, in connection with an armed robbery on Friday at an apartment at the 1710 Vale Park Road complex.

“Dets. Brian Thurman and Phil Rochon began investigating the robbery and through their investigation learned of information that provided possible suspects in the robbery,” police said. “The suspects were interviewed by detectives and ultimately admitted to their involvement in the robbery.”

“One of the two weapons displayed in the robbery has been recovered,” police added.

The 17-year-old girl was being held at the Porter County Juvenile Detention Center, while the VPD said that it was seeking an arrest warrant for a fourth suspect, identified as Kyle Wright, 18.

Anyone with information about Wright’s whereabouts is asked to call the VPD at 462-2135 or text the information to Tip411.
