Unlikely email death threat scam reported

Back to Front Page

Two Chesterton residents have reported being the target of an unlikely e-mail scam involving death threats, Chesterton Police said.

According to police, both residents received an e-mail from unknown senders—one from deadlykillers@gmail.com, the other from killer@hotmail.com—informing them that someone wants them dead and has arranged for someone else to kill them.

The sender from killer@hotmail.com, identifying himself as “All Eyes On You,” advised one of the recipients that he in fact is the contract killer himself but that for two payments of $15,000 he will spare the recipient’s life.

The sender from deadlykillers@gmail.com, on the other hand, advised his recipient not to leave the house after 7 p.m. because he is under constant surveillance.
